Kecksburg UFO

In 1965 a large fireball was seen rocketing across the sky by thousands of people in six states and parts of Canada.  While many describe the object as crashing, witnesses claimed the object glided to earth slowly, changing direction twice before landing in the woods in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania. 

Eyewitnesses reported seeing an object shaped like an acorn and as large as a Volkswagen Beetle, with strange writing around the base. The object was seen in the woods by locals helping with the search, and a large covered object was seen being taken away on a truck. Official reports suggest military personnel  searched the area at the time and found nothing.
